Matt Arnold, award-winning mixologist from the inimitable Passing Fancies, in the heart of Birmingham, has created two bespoke cocktail recipes for you to enjoy at home.
Banana manhattan
INGREDIENTS
45ml Twofold Banana Rum
15ml Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
2 x Dash Walnut Bitters
Small pinch of salt
Lemon peel
METHOD
Combine all ingredients (apart from the Lemon peel) into an ice-filled mixing glass.
Stir for approximately 20 seconds and then strain into a small cocktail glass.
Finish by expressing the lemon peel over the glass, making sure to discard the zest.
Thai green Tipple
INGREDIENTS
25ml Twofold Thai Green Gin
25ml Cocchi Rosa Vermouth
25ml Fino Sherry
Small pinch of salt
Lemon peel
METHOD
Combine all ingredients (apart from the lemon peel) into an ice-filled mixing glass.
Stir for approximately 20 seconds and then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Finish by expressing the lemon peel over the glass, making sure to discard the zest.
